Nicole Tuchinda, MD, JD, LLM

Nicole Tuchinda

Nicole is an Assistant Professor at Loyola University in New Orleans and is devoted to improving the lives of vulnerable young children. Her work and education has centered around juvenile/children law and special education law as well as medical/legal partnerships. At the Georgetown University Law Center, as a Clinical Teaching Fellow, Nicole collaborated with lawyers, physicians, law students and medical students to serve homeless and low-income families through the Health Justice Alliance.

Nicole has been active in advocating for systemic change to end the school-to-prison pipeline, to make special education trauma-responsive, to end the digital divide and to support racial justice. She is a published author, has served as a CASA, and has volunteered for many youth-serving organizations.

She has also presented at two Creating Trauma-Sensitive Schools Conferences. Nicole, her husband and children currently reside in Houston, TX.
