Creating Trauma Sensitive Schools Conference

Continuing Education Units

This program  is co-sponsored  by the Attachment & Trauma Network, Inc.,  and The Institute for Continuing Education.   The Conference offers a total of  13.50 contact hours as follows:

February 16, 2020:  4.00 hrs.

February 17, 2020:  5.00 hrs.

February 18, 2020:  4.50 hrs.   

 

Continuing education credit is awarded on a session-by-session basis, with full attendance required for the sessions attended.  The CE processing fee is $35.00 for mental health professionals (such as counselors, social workers, MFTs and nurses), and can be paid on-site (expect delays). There is no CE fee for educators as we will provide certificates of attendance on the app.  Application forms and other required CE materials will be available on site. NOTE:  To receive continuing education credit, applicants must complete all CE materials, sign in/out at designated locations, and submit an evaluation form for the sessions attended.  

NOTE:  It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine if CE credit offered by The Institute for Continuing Education meets the regulations of their state licensing/certification board. 

NOTE:  CE credit is not academic and may not be used toward fulfillment of a degree

NOTE:  Ethics credit is not offered for any scheduled sessions at this Conference

 

Psychology:  The Institute for Continuing Education is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor  continuing education for psychologists. The Institute for Continuing Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content.  Not all sessions may be approved for psychology. Non-credit workshops will be clearly noted in the CE packet distributed at the CE Desk onsite.  

Counseling:   The Institute of Continuing Education and the Attachment & Trauma Network, Inc. are co-sponsors of this program.  The co-sponsorship has been approved by NBCC.  The Institute for Continuing Education is an NBCC-approved continuing education provider, ACEP Provider No. 5643.  The Institute for Continuing Education is solely responsible for this program, including the awarding of NBCC credit.   Not all sessions may be approved for counseling. Non-credit workshops will be clearly noted in the CE packet distributed at the CE Desk onsite. 

New York: The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors.  Provider MHC-0016.

Ohio Board Counseling/ Social Work:  Ohio Board of Counseling and Social Work Board, Provider RCS 030001.

Social Work: This program has been approved for 13.50 social work continuing education hours for re-licensure, in accordance with 258 CMR, NASW- MA Chapter CE Approving Program.  Authorization No. D-81352-1 – D-81352-15.     Non-credit workshops will be clearly noted in the CE packet distributed at the CE Desk onsite.

New York:  The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers, Provider SW-0025.

New Jersey:   NO CE CREDIT is available for social workers licensed with the NJ State Board of  Social Work Examiners. 

Marriage/Family Therapy:  The Institute for Continuing Education is a recognized provider of continuing education by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Social Work, Counseling, MFT, Provider BAP 255, expiration 03/2021. Ohio Board MFT, Provider RTX 100501. 

New York The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Marriage-Family Therapy as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed MFTs, Provider MH-0012.  

California Professionals:  The Institute for Continuing Education, Provider 56590, is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs.  The Institute for Continuing Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This Course meets the qualifications for up to 13.50 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCC, as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.   Non-credit workshops will be clearly noted in the CE packet received at the Conference. 

Nursing:   The Institute for Continuing Education is an approved provider of continuing education in nursing by the California Board of Nursing, Provider CEP 12646.  Nurses are responsible for checking with their state board to determine if credit issued through an approved provider of the CA Board of Nursing is acceptable by their state board.   Not all sessions may be approved for nursing. Non-credit workshops will be clearly noted in the CE packet distributed at the CE Desk onsite.

 

Non-Credit EventsBreakfast, lunch, reception events, committee/business meetings, networking sessions.  

 

Non-Credit Sessions:   Not all workshop sessions may be eligible for the awarding of continuing education credit.  Non-credit sessions will be clearly noted on CE materials distributed at the time of Conference check-in at the CE desk.

 

Skills Level:   Introductory & Advanced.   Attendees are urged to review the session descriptions to determine appropriateness for professional and personal needs.

 

Instructional Methodology:  May include lecture, demonstration, audio/visual, experiential practice of techniques, large and small group discussion
